Question #1:  What are the doctrines of Jesus.

Bible Answer:  If the intent of the question is a discussion of all the doctrines of
Jesus, since doctrine is another word for teaching, the Bible itself is the answer as
next to God the primary subject of the Bible is Jesus.  The subject of Jesus, of
course comes to a peak and focus in the 4 Gospels.  Mark would be recommended
as the shortest summary of Jesus where like SunGrist_Bible John Mark has in the
teachings and life of Jesus recorded the essentials to extend the influence of the
doctrines of Jesus. {Since a primary goal of SunGrist_Bible is to extend the
influence of Christ, you will find a condensed version of Mark with comments
available for a free download at
www.biblecombibleman.com/product_cupofwater,
or on the same page you can order a hard copy by mail or with a credit card.  If you
have trouble with this process email SunGrist at
sungrist@gmail.com or
biblecombibleman@yahoo.com for a free copy of CUP OF WATER and it will be
emailed to you.}
If the intent of the question is on "the doctrine of Christ" {Jesus of Nazareth has the
3 prime words in the Bible of "Lord Jesus Christ"}, the little epistle of II John literally
mentions that "doctrine of Christ" phrase more than any other book of the Bible:  (1)
the introduction is given in II John 7 about a lot of people who have gone out into
the world talking about "Jesus Christ" that are deceivers and antichrists because
they deny that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh to earth; (2) it is in II John 9 a
transgression to not abide in the "doctrine of Christ", and such a person can not
claim to have God; (3) also in the same verse is the positive statement that the
individual who abides in the doctrine of Christ has inside himself both the Father and
the Son {if you really want some depth here of explanation look at the way Jesus
manifests Himself to believers and not to the world in John 14, likewise if you are
ready for mature Bible study then read a Bible commentary on John 13-17 called
"Friends of Jesus" which you will find presented and available on this website}; and
(3) and furthermore you are not to associate, entertain, or even greet a person who
teaches or preaches without this doctrine in his suitcase of messages {II John 10}.
You share in his evil deeds if you help in anyway such a preacher or teacher.
If you care to dialogue further on this doctrine and its implications, please email us
at
sungrist@gmail.com . Be assured your email will be answered. By the way if you
want to understand a summary of the NT on all the doctrines of Christ, you will find it
in
Ephesians if you are ready for it.

Question #2:  What About the Covenants of God?

Perhaps you are aware that the Old Testament is the history of Israel's broken
covenants with God.  The two primary covenants which are extensively explained in
Hebrews and Romans are the old covenant primarily with Israel of keeping the laws
of God primarily centered around the 10 commandments, which as explained in
Romans man could not do in that "he was weak in the flesh"; and then the new
covenant whereby with faith in Jesus and the subsequent righteousness through faith
man is given the ability to be righteous before God and to mantain more of the
righteousness of God.  {The SunGrist_Bible on Romans has not been widely
distributed, "A Focus on Gospel Pride"; however
if you requested it  it could be put
it in PDF and emailed.  However
a commentary on Hebrews is available on this site.}
If you are looking for deeper Bible study on covenants, I would suggest the New
International Commentaries, or if you want to consider the ups and downs of the
nation of Israel where they often broke the covenants with God, especially as set
forth by Moses, please read the commentary on this website of
"The Message of
the Writing Prophets".

Question #3:  What About the Epistles of John?

My, what a blessing are the little Epistles of John--I, II, and III John--though small in
size are large in spiritual content.  If you read the answer to Question #1 above you
know some of the impact of II John alone about the doctrine of Christ.  You will find
also much about the Security of the Believer and how to contend for the faith
without being contentious in the little epistles as they are harmonized easily with
some of the epistles of Paul in a commentary at this website,
CHRIST FOR
INDIVIDUALS, on the five books of the Apostle John--that is, Revelation, the
Gospel of John, and the three little epistles.
