Perhaps you are well beyond being an amateur in Bible
Study, or even a professional, so that you know the need to
live also for spiritual food and knowledge about God and
Christ as well as what they expect of us, then the offer of
BIBLE STUDY COMBO is for you.

What does the Combo consists of?

1.  A Nelson Slimline Study Bible with all of the Old
Testament Quotes in the New Testament indented and below
the page in the notes is where the Quote is from in the Old
Testament.

For example in Luke 4:4 you will find the following:

"Jesus answered {Satan}, it is written, 'Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the
mouth of God."  x

with a letter where the x is, referenced below with the same
letter in the notes which says the quote is taken from
Deuteronomy 6:4

While most quotes are explained in the NT where they are
quoted, this one is explained in the message of Moses to the
children of  Israel, the bottom line of which is a warning not
to be drawn into the Gospel of Prosperity where you built
beautiful homes and then think that you did all this in your
life by your own power and forget the priority for God and
His righteousness.

2.  Now inserted in the Slimline Bible is an outline of the
whole Bible under 12 major topics.  This outlined is formed
by taking all the quotes in the New Testament, first listed in
the Matthew to Revelation order of the New Testament, and
then re-arranging them in the order of the Old Testament
books, Genesis to Malachi.  The subjects of each of the 12
top topics of the Bible are derived {this is called exegesis}
from the explanation of the quotes in the New Testament by
either Jesus or an Apostle, or in some cases like in Luke 4:4
the proper interpretation comes from the Old Testament
Prophet, in the case above, Moses.

3.  The third article in the Combo is a "Condensed Version of
Mark with Comments", entitled A CUP OF WATER.  Along
with a thorough look at the teachings and life of Jesus, one
that can easily extend the influence of Christ as Mark
intended, you will find much on Daniel, Mark quotes from
Daniel, and presentations on the 18 Old Testament quotes in
Mark.  You see how the combo ties together for enhanced
and challenging Bible study:  the slimline Bible, the top 12
topics of the Bible, and the commentary on Mark.

More about the Bible in spiritual life--

1.        Bible Study is always commended by God and Jesus
as it has the same level of priority as eating.

“But Jesus answered Him {Satan during the temptation in the
wilderness}, it is written {written in the Old Testament,
Deuteronomy 8:3 and Jesus quotes it as coming from God
the Father}, ‘Man {this is generic man in the usual sense of
the Bible of male and female as it requires a male and a
female to really make a man per Genesis 5:1,2} shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the
mouth of God.”  (Luke 4:4)

2.        Bible as contrasted to Theology, philosophy, and
many of the extra-biblical religious teachings of history that
have come out of the mind and mouth of man, has come out
of the mind and mouth of God through Jesus, the Spirit of
Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

“…knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any
private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of
man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the
Holy Spirit.”  (II Peter 1:20,21)

3.        While Bible Study is good and commendable and
even necessary in order to be a child of God, it is dangerous
in that it can change the way we think and act.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper
than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of
soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner
of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”  (Hebrews 4:12)
