Proclaiming the Faith on the Common Salvation, often has to
wait for more Contending for the Faith...
(Jude and the Epistles of Peter and Paul)

Let us strive to make a 3 prong simultaneous defence {really a 3
prong Bible attack} against certain unsound doctrines and practices
of some famous and aggressive Christian brothers of prosperity
while continuing to simply Bible on the Bible, which we can identify
as the PP, or the Pentecostal Problem that Paul dealt with in I
Corinthians 14, also with background on respect for all gifts and the
ranking of all gifts in I Corinthians 12, and the more excellent way
beyond "covet the best gifts", that of I Corinthians 13!

I.  Continue to Proclaim the faith at the very Bible foundations of
Christian faith in the
Epistles of Peter and Paul, of course 16-19 of
the 27 books of the New Testament.  {We are allowing Peter to take
the lead!}

II.  "Joy", "Peace" and "Filling" from the KJV of the Bible.

1.  Joy, peace, and filling--exact words from the Bible--referenced in
Peter, I and II Peter, and Paul in Galatians.

2.   Introduction to the Pentecostal Problem:  "Filling with the Holy
Spirit" {?} in the books of Acts, the acts of the apostles and the
Holy Spirit.

3.
The Pentecostal Problem (I Corinthians 12-14).

4.  The PP solution of I Corinthians 14.

5.  "Joy" in the Historical books of the Old Testament.

6.  "Joy" and "Peace" in the other Epistles of Paul.

7.  "Joy" and "Peace", even "filling" in the Wisdom Literature of
the Old Testament.

III.  Helpers with the Holy Spirit.

NOTE:  The straw man that these famous, prosperous, and popular
evangelists have created is:  "You Pastors and other Christians
must be filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence thereof,
speaking in unknown tongues."
TO: (1) stay positive with self-control, brotherly kindness, and the
read manifestations of godliness and the knowledge of Jesus Christ,
faith, and the cross please read again the introductory word from
Peter below; and (2) in the total context of the epistles of Peter and
Paul, alias, the larger our comparison of scripture with scripture,
the more accuracy with what God intended when He put these
things in the Bible.

"Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and
of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things
that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him
who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us
exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you
may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the
corruption that is in the world through lust.

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence,
add to your faith
virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to
self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness
brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren
nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  For he
who lacks these things is short sighted, even to blindness, and has
forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and
election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble, for
so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the
everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."  (II
Peter 1:2-11)
