Philosophy and Freedom of Religion is No
Excuse for Philosophy FROM Religion

NOTE:  Somehow a community on Google+ which name
themselves "Philosophy of Religion" are hiding behind the status
of Philosophy and Religion to both attack all that is Bible, Christ,
and God and also to justify and rationalize atheism, humanism,
and other unbeliefs.  Notice, they sound just like Muslims. When
will it be recognize as objective sociology that the gay and lesbian
movement is an attack on Bible Christianity just like the Muslims
online attack the Divinity of Christ and the Trinity, also the Bible as
the Word of God.  If you have trouble with what is "worldly", or in
the Bible "of the world", you will see it here in POR vocal
members, like in I John 2:15-17:
 Love not the world, neither the
things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of
the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world, the lust of the
flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not
of the Father, but is of the world.  And the world passeth away,
and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for
ever."


I.  This American Christian freedom of expression started when a
so-called Philosophy of Religion Google+ Community had their
cloak of unrighteousness and hypocrisy, the dark rock under
which they are hiding, with a post on the Bible Christian
conscience of the Kentucky clerk, as follows.

II.  While the professed theme of this POR {really PFR} community
is "Question everything", we find by their reactions to the post
that this means question everything Bible and Christian but leave
alone my humanism, atheism, and unbelief.  Just listen to our
enemy of the world.

She swore an oath as an elected official to do the job of that
office.  She refused and held the office hostage.  It was contested
legally, and she lost.  She continued to hold the office hostage by
not performing the duties of that office.  She was held in contempt
and arrested.  She had the opportunity to decide if she could
perform the duties of that office, and resign if she couldn't.  She
chose to disobey the decision of the court.

She IS a criminal. Her job dictates that she must give valid
marriage licences to gay couples as well as straight ones. She is
obligated to fulfill her job and if she feels she cannot due to her
religious convictions, then she needs to leave it and let someone
who can take her place.

Oh please. No one is violating her religious beliefs. They're
violating her political beliefs.   And honestly this woman has had
four marriages. If marriage is so damn sacred then why doesn't
she apply that principle to her own life and stop worrying so much
about how others apply it to theirs.

Her error is exactly analogous to the error of segregationists when
the federal government had to step in then, too.  Whole
communities in the South decided they would rather close their
schools and playgrounds entirely than share them with black folk,
and a few of them used scripture to justify their position, too.  
They lost, and it didn't take long for people to move on and let that
error be forgotten, then.  Some won't let it be forgotten now, just
as some wouldn't, then. There will be more far-Right, socially
conservative, Evangelical Christians who resonate with this,
because their worldview thrives on persecution, which is actually
hard to come by, these days. Now that one of their own is behind
bars for her faith in Jesus, you can expect the numbers of Eric
Rudolph wannabes to climb.

I'm puzzled why they don't do the decent thing and sack her. I feel
sorry for her because she is obviously sincere in her belief that
she is doing the right thing, but if she refuses to fulfil the duties
her employer requires of her, and those duties are among the legal
requirements of the position, then she should resign. She can get
out of jail any time she wants by resigning. It's a tough choice, but
if she really believes in what she is doing, then that's the sensible
thing to do

Davis abusing the law? I thought she worked in public office, not
as a private employee. I wonder if you want America to be a
theocracy.

I'll address the claim that courts are abusing Christians. we've yet
to have the state mandate any church official marry a homosexual
couple in America. doesn't that mean that the rights of Christians
haven't been violated? this isn't even religious persecution, just
one person refusing to uphold the law. I'd think the Christian thing
to do, would be resign or be appointed to a different job, instead
of trying to martyr herself. she seems to be causing more harm to
Christians. am I alone in seeing this?

should be by everyone's estimation... except for those who work
for the government.  I found out something interesting which may
go towards explaining her mindset. In that neck of the woods,
apparently people still inherit county jobs, and she apparently
inherited her job. The only deputy clerk in her office who still
refuses to hand out licenses is her son, whom I assume simply
expects that this will one day be his job. So, although her choice
should have been to either serve in that position or not serve in
that position, she convinced herself that she is the rightful arbiter
of marriage licenses, and that god gave her that position, and
therefore her will is the same as public policy.  Just picture
Senator Palpatine glaring at Mace Windu from across his desk,
and hissing, "I am the senate!" Well, that's her. She is the Marriage
Guardian Appointed by God.  I found out something interesting
which may go towards explaining her mindset. In that neck of the

Mistaking her personal beliefs with public policy is her problem.
She is deeply confused about authority and reality, as many
people are, only she happened to be caught in the headlights
about it.

III.  There are many more to be shown in the Bible series that this
inspires, and will come with specifics of how to "contend for the
faith once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3), but here are a
few Biblical and American answers that come to mind.

1. Remember this in 1776:  “We hold these truths to be self-
evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by
their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are
Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these
rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just
powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any
Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the
Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new
Government, laying its foundation on such principles and
organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most
likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. “

2. Do you recall from sunday school of vacation Bible school:  
“Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them
without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have
been stoned.  And when they had brought them, they set them
before the council: and the high priest asked them, Saying, Did not
we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name?
and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and
intend to bring this man's blood upon us. Then Peter and the
other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather
than men.

3. Or do you not remember expressions of conscience to a greater
authority than man expressed by Martin Luther and the
Reformation:  “I cannot and will not recant anything, for to go
against conscience is neither right nor safe. Here I stand, I can do
no other, so help me God. Amen.”  And “My Conscience is captive
to the will of God.”  While certainly the high and mighty who claim
humanity in the abstract but not the concrete persons demise
such a clean conscience as expressed by the Bible Believing
Christian Kentucky Clerk.

4. Good behavior of a supreme court judge or judges does not
exclude their own individual responsibility to the God that Created
them, the “one nation under God” that they are sworn to uphold,
and the rights of the larger majority of Bible believing Christians
than of the minority of gays.  It is bad behavior of the courts to
abuse as a criminal just one citizen that stands up for beliefse that
are based on Chritian and Bible beliefs.  Bad behavior should not
be tolerated by the moral majority.  The Supreme Court is not
within Itself free from the consitution and the foundations of faith
of this nation—our heritage, and from the will of God as their
Creator as recorded in the Bible.  And they are certainly not free to
cause the whole nation to sin against God, not only only denying
the blessings of God on the whole nation but also causing a curse
that that nation.  The greatest sin is to deny the LORD God that
made them, and the Book that He wrote over thousands of years
and by 40 Apostles and Prophets, and of course Jesus.  A
supreme court much older and higher than them stated thousands
of years ago:  “The wisdom of man is foolishness with God....”     
And we expect to see them like the rich man who lived
sumptuously all their life to cry across the great gulf that is fixed in
eternity, as well as those to claim a certain Freedom and

5. This could be the straw that broke the camel's back on America's lack of respect for big government.  It is obvious
that Den of Thieves like in Jeremiah 7:11 and like Jesus drove from the Temple had entrenched themselves in

6. You miss the point that there is just so much National
Unrighteousness that the nation can stand and that God the Great

7. There is a differences, in fact many differences, between the
American Democratic Faith and Bible Christian Faith, and which
from the majority of Christians in this nations do you think without
disrepecting the one has the greatest honor.

8. Beware of using and abusing your freedom as a Christian
American psychologists for popularity:  Philosophy of Religion is
not Philosophy from Religion.  “What shall we say then? Shall we
continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall
we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?  Know ye not,
that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were
baptized into his death?  Therefore we are buried with him by
baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead
by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in
newness of life.”  (Romans 6:1-4)

IV.  This is indeed a collective American group Conscience in
agreement, and as Christian Americans we are sad to see that it
has too much agreement with the unbelieving Gentile conscience
of a nation that refuses to retain God in their thought patterns as
given in Romans.

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness;  Because that which may be known of God is
manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them.  For the
invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his
eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God,
neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and
their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image
made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts,
and creeping things.  Wherefore God also gave them up to
uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to
dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  Who changed
the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the
creature more than the  Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen."
